Isn’t it great that we can pick up printers for a steal nowadays? Used to be that they were super expensive but they’ve really come down in price. You can get a Canon or Brother, all kinds of name brands at great sale prices. The downside is the price of the ink cartridges. Have you noticed how much those are now? It’s highway robbery!

I discovered this ugly truth when I bought a miraculously cheap inkjet printer and my two kids started to print their favorite pictures from the internet, like crazy. 2. Going to a specialty store – next to most expensive unless on a super sale, high quality
3. Department store – usually a bit less expensive, even cheaper if on sale, high quality
4. Credit card points – the cheapest, virtually free, good quality, though you have to have a card that offers such a program and you have to spend quite a bit to get enough points
5. Thrift store – cheap, but not always available and most likely dried out or damaged
6. Online giants like Amazon – more or less like a department store, may be a little cheaper but often not and since you don’t see what you get, you may get a lemon

At first I was buying ink cartridges for credit card points and was pretty happy with that, mostly because I wasn’t putting out any cash.
